VOLUNTEER FROM HOME (or in person) IN A LIFE-CHANGING PRISON MINISTRY
Information Session Thursday October 5 on Zoom 5 pm to 6 pm
Incarnation Lutheran and St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church are co-hosting another Zoom session offering information on the “Freedom to Choose Project.” This is an opportunity for people to be volunteer readers for a self-directed writing program offered in California state prisons. As the vision of FTC states: “The Freedom to Choose Project transforms the lives of individuals impacted by incarceration through compassionate experiential education that has been proven to reduce prison violence and recidivism.”
Check out the Freedom to Choose Project website and watch a volunteer’s testimonial.
Then attend the special info session. Eric Rodriguez, FTC program coordinator/trainer will present, and current participating volunteers will share their personal experiences and answer questions. To register and receive a Zoom link, contact Nancy Datte at LoveCommittee@godamong.us.
